Collaboration and Communication is a Key Message at ASTM Workshop

On December 4, 2025, a room full of more than 200 attendees listened intently to a presentation by NEU's President, Charles Nmai, Distinguished Engineer and Director of Concrete Sustainability at Master Builders Solutions, during the ASTM Workshop on Low-Carbon Concrete: Industry Trends and Other Impacts on ASTM Cement and Concrete Standards. Nmai's presentation, “Low-Carbon Concrete: An ACI Past-President Perspective," highlighted the continuing need for collaboration and communication among the stakeholders in the industry.

During his presentation, he announced the recent publication of the NEU Guide to Low-Carbon Concrete: Materials and communicated the importance of this document, which highlights past, present, and future innovative materials. He also mentioned NEU's Survey of Companies Producing Low-Carbon Concrete Materials and Technologies, and the report coming out soon.
