NEU conducted a two-part online survey requesting information from innovative materials and technology companies to understand their product characteristics, manufacturing processes, availability, and market presence, as well as applications and environmental performance.

Survey Results from Companies Producing Low-Carbon Concrete Materials and Technologies

For this groundbreaking analysis, data was gathered through a two-part online survey (Part A and Part B) distributed through email between May 2023 to February 2025, targeting innovative low-carbon cement and concrete materials and technology companies, primarily established in the USA. The survey targeted manufacturers of innovative binders or cementitious materials, supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs), aggregates, chemical admixtures, reinforcement, complete concrete mixtures, carbon capture, utilization, and storage, or any other material or technology that helps reduce the carbon footprint of concrete.

A total of 47 companies responded to Part A of the survey, representing an 83% response rate. These responses cover 54 products. This report presents the findings from the survey data collected for Part A, followed by key questions.

This survey information is based solely on data submitted by the companies, collected between May 2023 to February 2025. NEU is not responsible for any changes in information that may have occurred. Companies that have completed Part A are encouraged to complete Part B, in order to contribute to the secondary report.
