Webinar: Eco Material Technologies Presents Creating Solutions to Decarbonize Concrete

Eco Material Technologies is the leading provider of supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) in North America. With over four decades of experience in marketing fly ash to the concrete industry, Eco Material is a pioneer in developing new construction material technologies. The company provides low-carbon footprint supplementary cementitious materials that can partially replace cement and offset its associated emissions. Building on the expertise of managing and marketing fly ash, the company set out on a path to expand its supply of SCMs by harvesting coal ash, mining natural pozzolans, and processing bottom ash, among others. Ivan Diaz is Vice President of Research and Product Development at Eco Material Technologies. He holds a PhD from Louisiana Tech University and has more than 15 years of experience in cementitious materials.  He is the chair of ACI Committee 232, Fly Ash in Concrete and is a member of Committees 240, Natural Pozzolans, 236, Material Science of Concrete and 242, Alternative Cements. He is also a member of ASTM Committees C01 on Cement and C09 on Concrete and Aggregates. His career has focused on evaluating characteristics and performance of supplementary cementitious materials in concrete, alternative supplementary cementitious materials and evaluating the technical soundness of new materials and processes for the concrete industry.
