ICC Evaluation Service and NEU Sign Memorandum of Understanding

American Concrete Institute’s NEU Center and ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-EC) have signed an agreement to work together in support carbon-neutral concrete technologies, developing and advocating the adoption of codes and standards, as well as the acceptance criteria to promote the use of carbon-neutral concrete.

NEU Executive Director Drew Burns sits at a table in a grey suit, blue shirt and black tie, holding a pen above a document. Next to him is a representative from ICC wearing a dark blue suit, a white shirt and pink tie, also holding a pen above a document. Behind the table is a sign that reads "Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony" with logos for ICC-ES, ACI and NEU.

By mutually sharing knowledge and resources to reduce the carbon footprint of the built environment. ICC-EC brings many resources that will aid NEU in reaching goals for the concrete industry and ultimately for the world.

As an Allied Organization with NEU, ICC-ES provides expertise in developing acceptance criteria and evaluation processes, which will complement ACI’s codes and standards development. Together the organizations can achieve more through close communication and collaboration, to make a difference in the sustainability practices at all levels of the building process.
